Cheraw High School

Cheraw High Welcomes New Assistant Principal

Mr. Folger grew up in Hillsborough, New Jersey.  After high school, Mr. Folger graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas College in New York with a BS in Elementary and Special Education.  While at College, Mr. Folger was a scholarship athlete running for both the cross country and track teams.

After graduating, he moved to Moncks Corner, South Carolina where he taught multiple grade levels and subject areas from 2007-2012.  In Moncks Corner, Mr. Folger met Cheraw native Laura Katherine Watson, and the two married in 2011.  After moving to Chesterfield County in 2012, Mr. Folger taught special education at Central High School through 2015.  Cheraw residents, Mr. and Mrs. Folger, recently welcomed their daughter, Charlotte Katherine, into the world in November.

Since 2015, Mr. Folger has been serving Kershaw County as an assistant principal at Doby’s Mill Elementary School.  Mr. Folger comes back to Chesterfield County entering his eleventh year in education and third as an administrator.  He is excited for the opportunity to build relationships with our students, staff and community in order to help all of our Braves be the best they can be.
